He also will perform several of his classic hits at the free concert, which will come a day after Kenny G also plays in the Honda Classic Cares Wednesday Pro-Am presented by Tire Kingdom.
"Kenny G has been a fan favorite at The Honda Classic for many years and we are thrilled that we can bring him back again this year thanks to the generosity of American Honda," Honda Classic Executive Director Kenneth R. Kennerly said. “Palm Beach County is a diverse community and we continue to look for ways to blend the area's culture with the sensational golf our fans see from the best players in the world. There is no better way to accomplish that than with the diverse rhythms of an international star like Kenny G."
The Honda Classic appearance will be the continuation of a storied career born when a young Kenny Gorelick of Seattle, Washington discovered the saxophone one evening while watching the Ed Sullivan show and was inspired to take up the instrument.
He has collaborated with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, Toni Braxton and Frank Sinatra. His album Breathless was the biggest selling instrumental record in U.S. history with more than 12 million records sold in the U.S. alone. His 1994 holiday album Miracles is the best selling holiday album of all-time.
Kenny G has also made efforts to take on different kinds of musical forms. He has recorded albums that have displayed his appreciation for jazz standards (Classics in the Key of G, 1999), tropical sounds (Paradise, 2002), Latin beats (Rhythm and Romance, 2008), R&B (Heart and Soul, with contributions from Robin Thicke and Babyface), and in 2015 he returned to Latin inspirations for Brazilian Nights.

The Honda Classic awarded $2.555 million in charitable contributions after the 2015 event, about $27,000 more than the previous record of $2.528 million established in 2014. That makes it the ninth straight year that the tournament has elevated the impact it makes on South Florida children's charities through Honda Classic Cares philanthropic initiatives. And this time it was accomplished despite the major expense of cleaning the golf course after Saturday's storms and opening for an extra day on Monday when admission was free.
